Handpan Hang Out

Join Amy Naylor & Sarah Paz Hyde at Wishing Star Farm for a special series of Community Night events. We’ll start with a handpan jam for handpan enthusiasts, players, musicians and anyone curious about making music. Whether you are new to playing the handpan, an intermediate+ musician, or simply curious about the instrument, come see what it's all about and join us for an evening full of handpans and music. Don't have a handpan but want to come? Don’t worry, there will be instruments provided including frame drums, shakers, djembes, a few extra handpans and acoustic instruments floating around.

Following the handpan hangout, participants are invited to sit together, sing together, play together, and celebrate joy together. With the handpan at the center, Amy plays mantra-like songs for all to be involved in. These songs are sung to promote healing, connection and empowerment, and she invites all to sing; breaking down the barrier between “performer” and “audience”. In this space, we will explore our own voices, learn and share new songs and mantras, and sing / drum together in an informal and fun setting.
